Navy Awards Boeing $1.1 Billion Contract For 17 Super Hornets

The Navy awarded Boeing [BA] a $1.1 billion undefinitized modification on March 19 to procure 17 more F/A-18E/F Super Hornets. The award covers 10 F/A-18F Lot 46 aircraft and two F/A-18F and five F/A-18E Lot 47 aircraft. The other major piece of this award includes Phase One of Super Hornet and EA/-18G Growler technical data package, including the operation, maintenance, installation and training data to support Navy sustainment efforts on the Super Hornet and Growler.
