Northrop Grumman Conducts Rocket Motor Tests For Future Navy Hypersonic Missiles

Last month Northrop Grumman [NOC] said it performed a successful series of static fires tests for a rocket motor to support future Navy hypersonic missile capabilities. The company said it completed the series of tests on a new 21-inch second-stage solid rocket motor (SRM) at its advanced propulsion production facility in Elkton, Md.  In 2023, Northrop Grumman opened its Hypersonic Capability Center in Elkton to research, develop, test and produce propulsion solutions to power hypersonic missiles (Defense Daily, Aug. 3,…
