Acting SecNav: DoD Aims To Submit Budget In May, Unsure Of New Administration Changes Yet

The Acting Navy Secretary said the Defense Department hopes to submit the fiscal year 2022 budget request to Congress in May and they have not yet identified service policy changes the new Biden administration wants to make yet. “The timeline for us to present the budget is to hopefully get something over to Congress in May, with a lot of work being done internal to the department as we look at that,” Thomas Harker said Tuesday during the National Defense…
