AUKUS Defense Ministers Announce New U.K.-Australia Treaty And Shared P-8 Torpedoes

The defense ministers of the AUKUS countries on Thursday announced new advances in their agreement to share technologies, including negotiations on a new U.K.-Australian defense treaty about sharing nuclear-powered submarine (SSN) developments, progress in training Australian personnel and an agreement for the U.S. and U.K. to both qualify U.S. and U.K. torpedoes on their P-8A Poseidon aircraft.
