U.S. Navy And Allies Wrap Up August With Two More Pacific Exercises

The U.S. and several allies are starting two more naval exercises in the Pacific region through the end of the month. The first, Pacific Guardian 24, with the Canadian Navy, Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF), Republic of Korea (ROK or South Korea) Navy and U.S. Navy, began on Aug. 24. The U.S. Navy said this exercise helps service members strengthen skills in maritime operations, anti-submarine warfare operations, air warfare operations and advanced maneuvering scenarios.
