U.S. OKs $150 Million Sale Of Aegis Technical Support To Japan

The State Department recently approved a potential $150 million Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to Japan for Aegis destroyer follow-on technical support. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) delivered the certification to Congress on Sept. 3. The sale covers follow-on technical support of Aegis Class Destroyers, including sustainment support and services; Aegis computer software updates; system integration and testing; in-country and on-site engineering support; familiarization; sustainment; all necessary emergent support engineering and technical support services; operational support; system overhauls; system upgrades;…
